Food Bank RGV creates Fighting Texas Hunger campaign with Mrs. Baird's

PHARR, Texas (ValleyCentral) — The Food Bank of Rio Grande Valley announced its new campaign, Fighting Texas Hunger with Mrs. Baird's Bread.

The campaign was created to help families across the Valley during the day of giving. For every loaf of bread sold on July 28, Mrs. Baird's will donate one loaf of bread to the Food Bank RGV.

"The economy is crazy. We know that everything that you buy right now at the store is really high, and snap benefits are not lasting as long," a Food Bank RGV spokesperson said.

Mrs. Baird's has pledged to donate up to 10,000 loaves to the Food Bank RGV.

"We think of a better way than to donate our product to food banks," Mrs. Baird's spokesperson said.

They added it is a great way to help those in our community who are in need.

Those interested in participating can look for Fighting Texas Hunger displays at their local grocery stores and scan the QR code or text "BAIRDS" to 44-321 to donate to the Food Bank RGV.
