DONNA, Texas (ValleyCentral) — A woman is being held without bond after she was caught entering the U.S. with more than 200 pounds of meth, documents revealed.

Ruth Norali Morales was arrested on a charge of possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance, records show.

A criminal complaint states that on Wednesday, Morales entered the U.S. driving a 2007 Dodge Ram at the Donna International Bridge. During a secondary inspection, a canine alerted to the presence of drugs.

An inspection of the vehicle revealed that 31 bundles were concealed within the floor bed of the truck, the complaint stated.

The bundles contained a crystal-like substance that tested positive for methamphetamine. In total, the bundles weighed 208 pounds. Morales was interviewed, where she said she suspected the vehicle was loaded with something illegal.

"Morales stated she was going to be paid $650 upon successful delivery of the vehicle to Dallas, Texas," the complaint stated.

Morales made her initial appearance in federal court Thursday morning. A detention hearing is scheduled for May 28. She remains held without bond.
