Eddie Guerra sworn-in for fourth term as Hidalgo County Sheriff

PHARR, Texas (ValleyCentral) — Hidalgo County Sheriff Eddie Guerra was sworn in for a fourth term as the top lawman in the county on Wednesday.

The swearing-in ceremony took place at the Pharr Convention Center.

Guerra thanked the voters for entrusting him with another term.

"To have the vote of confidence from the Hidalgo County voters, it not only speaks volumes that this office is doing the right things for the right reasons, and we're going to continue having this office in the right direction," Guerra said.

In addition to the ceremony, Guerra swore in 386 Hidalgo County deputies.
