DHR Health hosts annual Fishing for Hope Tournament

SOUTH PADRE ISLAND, Texas (ValleyCentral) — DHR Health hosted its 18th annual Fishing For Hope Tournament.

The event helped fundraise for the Hope Family Health Center of McAllen and Weslaco, which provides various medical services for uninsured families and people.

DHR staff said they were happy with the outcome.

"This is a community service DHR Health puts on, we raise funds and hope it helps the community," said Roberto Haddad, DHR Health VP and Counsel for government affairs.

During the event, Dr. Alberto Gutierrez was honored for 24 years of service as a medical director and lead physician at the health center.
