CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas (ValleyCentral) — A Corpus Christi police officer who was shot in the line of duty over the weekend has died, the police department announced Wednesday.
Officer Kyle Hicks was shot Saturday while responding to a domestic disturbance call.
Hicks is survived by his wife and children. He served the Corpus Christi Police Department for two years. His family asks for privacy and prayers during this difficult time.
As his last act of service, the police department says Hicks will be donating his organs to save more lives.
