On Thursday, deputies responded to an aggravated assault. At the scene, the victim reported to authorities that he and his brother were making repairs at the location when a gray van sped into the driveway.

According to deputies, the van was driven by Martinez, who blocked the victim's vehicle from leaving the location.

The victim stated he told Martinez, "Me quiere matar o que jefe," in a "relaxed voice."

Martinez then exited the van screaming that he would kill whoever he needed to and told the victim he was going to grab his gun or machete, the release stated.

Martinez then took out his machete from the rear of his van and attempted to hit the victim with it while chasing him.
