Better Business Bureau talks tax schemes, fraud

HARLINGEN, Texas (ValleyCentral) — Hilda Martinez, President of the Better Business Bureau (BBB) of South Texas, is hosting a networking event in collaboration with the RGV Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.

The event will feature Miguel Rodriguez from the IRS Criminal Investigation Department. He will discuss income tax scams and other frauds targeting businesses.

The BBB plans to hold similar events monthly to educate business owners about various scams.

The BBB encourages all businesses to attend, not just accredited ones and aims to feature different government agencies as guest speakers in future events.
