AAA: Gas prices drop ahead of Labor Day

HARLINGEN, Texas (ValleyCentral) — The American Automobile Association announced gas prices have dipped 46 cents compared to this day last year.

If you have plans this Labor Day weekend that include driving, this is the perfect time to take advantage of the dip and gas up.

AAA Texas is reporting the statewide average for regular unleaded fuel is $2.95.

The price is 4 cents lower than last week and 46 cents lower than this same day last year.

The state's price is significantly lower than the average price nationwide, coming in at $3.36.
