4Ever Family: McKenzie, Aubrie, and Monika

1 month ago 41

HARLINGEN, Texas (ValleyCentral) — Every week, CBS 4 works to find a forever home for a Rio Grande Valley foster child as part of our “4Ever Family” partnership with the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services.

Meet three sisters who are ready to be with their forever family.

McKenzie is 8 years old. She is very enthusiastic and energetic. McKenzie is very expressive as she enjoys engaging in conversations and making new friends. She displays an interest in making arts and crafts. McKenzie has a close relationship with her sisters and gets along well with others. Besides arts and crafts, McKenzie enjoys listening to music, watching TV, and playing with her dolls. She is bilingual and excels in math at school.

Aubrie, 9 is a jolly and extroverted personality. Aubrie is unreserved in expressing her feelings, thoughts, and taste for things. She displays her interests through her love of books. This is evidenced by her growing collection of books, which she highly values. Besides reading, Aubrie enjoys listening to music, watching TV, and playing with her dolls. Aubrie is bilingual and would like to be a teacher as a career.

Monika, 9 enjoys socializing with other children. She has a very close bond with her younger sisters. She enjoys coloring, playing with her dolls along with watching Disney and Netflix movies. Monika has a special interest in fashion, as demonstrated by her enjoyment of changing different outfits throughout the day. Monika is a bright child able to express and convey her emotions. Monika, like her two younger sisters, is also bilingual in English and Spanish.

All three siblings say they would like to have a mom and dad there so they can all be together as a family and make memories as they grow up.
