Weslaco's Andrea Ortiz hits walk-off grand slam in state championship game

AUSTIN, Texas (ValleyCentral) -- The Weslaco softball team was down 9-3 in entering the bottom half seventh inning of the 6A state championship game against Waco Midway.

The Pantherettes cut the deficit to 9-7 when Andrea Ortiz hit a grand slam to win the game.

Weslaco becomes the first Valley team to win a UIL state softball title.
