WATCH: Valley daycare hosts mock Olympic opening ceremony with students

McALLEN, Texas (ValleyCentral) — While the Olympic opening ceremony took place today in France, locals in the Rio Grande Valley are celebrating the occasion in the cutest way.

Kids Village Montessori Learning Center hosted a mock opening Olympic ceremony of its own with its students.

A video posted on the learning center's Facebook shows dozens of students gathered in their hallway to represent the world's different countries.

Students were seen waiving flags from different nations and parading down the hallway with handmade signs to represent their respective country.

"It's not about winning at the Olympic Games, its about trying to win," one of the signs read.
