WATCH: Scalise speaks on Southern border in McAllen

MISSION, Texas (ValleyCentral) — DC House Majority Leader Steve Scalise is hosting a roundtable discussion with the National Border Patrol Council for members of Congress and congressional candidates.

The leaders are projected to host a news conference after their discussion in McAllen to highlight the Biden-Harris Administration's "failure to secure America's border."

During Monday's roundtable, Scalise heard from former Congresswoman Mayra Flores, Paul Perez, national president of NBPC and U.S. Rep Monica De La Cruz to name a few. The panel discussed topics such as the securing the border, having better mental health resources available to law enforcement, cartels and the immigration system.
