ISLA BLANCA, Texas (ValleyCentral) — Cameron County is hosting the Rio Grande Valley's largest drone show in history this weekend.

This year's production is titled "A Christmas Drone Story II: The 12 Days of Christmas."

Last year Cameron County held the first drone show the Rio Grande Valley had ever seen. This year they are going even bigger.

The production will consist of the Valley Symphony Orchestra's Quintet + Chorale. Performances will take place on stage at the Cameron County Amphitheater.

This year 600 drones will illuminate the sky to a synchronized live rendition of the holiday classic
"12 Days of Christmas."

General Admission to watch the Valley Symphony Orchestra and drone show is free on the Amphitheater lawn.

A limited number of reserved seats are still available for $15 at www.tixplug.com. Entrance
into Isla Blanca Park is $12 per vehicle (cash only).

Additionally, the city of Port Isabel will be hosting its annual Christmas parade from 6 to 7 p.m. Saturday. The parade will cause closures on State Highway 100 which would temporarily restrict access to South Padre Island.

All residents and visitors wishing to attend the Cameron County holiday drone show
should plan accordingly and arrive at the Cameron County Amphitheater by 5 p.m.

Doors open to the public at 5 p.m. and at the same time the Harlingen High School South Choir will perform.
