VA holds health care enrollment event for local Veterans

HARLINGEN, Texas (ValleyCentral) — The Veterans Administration announced that all Veterans exposed to toxins or other hazards while serving our country at home or abroad – including all Vets who served in Vietnam, the Gulf War, Iraq, Afghanistan, or any other combat zone after 9/11 are now eligible for VA health care.

This event will be held on Wednesday, May 8, at 6 p.m. at the McAllen VA Outpatient Clinic at 901 E. Hackberry Ave in McAllen.

The McAllen VA Outpatient Clinic will host a VA Health Care Enrollment Event to inform Veterans, their families, and survivors about the PACT Act and encourage them to apply for the health care and benefits they have earned.

The VA encourages all eligible Veterans and survivors to apply today at www.VA.gov/PACT.
