UTRGV: Possible armed intruder at Harlingen campus, students asked to shelter in place

HARLINGEN, Texas (ValleyCentral) — University of Texas Rio Grande Valley students have been asked to shelter in place at the Harlingen campus.

According to the UTRGV Emergency Alert System, there is a heavy police presence at the Harlingen Campus.

The notice stated a possible armed intruder was reported.

The university will provide updates as they become available.
