U.S. Border Patrol Brownsville agent dies

BROWNSVILLE, Texas (ValleyCentral) — The United States Border Patrol Rio Grande Valley mourns the death of one of their agents.

According to a social media post from the U.S. Border Patrol, agent Jesus Anaya died on Thursday, May 23.

"Our thoughts and prayers are with BPA Anaya’s family, friends, and Brownsville Border Patrol Station," the US Border Patrol said in the social media post.

Anaya was assigned to the Rio Grande Valley Sector - Brownsville Border Patrol Station where he served during his entire career.

Border Patrol did not release Anaya's cause of death.
