The Texas Department of Transportation announced crews will begin milling and paving work Tuesday evening in South Padre Island, with a completion date scheduled for next year.
Nighttime milling and paving work for Park Road 100, between the Queen Isabella Memorial Causeway and Orca Circle, is scheduled to be completed on Feb. 14.
Starting Tuesday evening, crews will be present within the project limits Sunday through Thursday from 6 p.m. to 5:30 a.m.
“Drivers should anticipate lane reductions and are advised to slow down and stay alert to keep everyone safe in the work zone,” TxDOT said in a news release.
TxDOT also said all work is pending weather conditions.
The paving work on SH 100, between SH 48 and the causeway has been completed, the release stated.
