Third arrest made in fatal McDonald's shooting

ALAMO, Texas (ValleyCentral) — A third person was arrested in connection to a fatal shooting at a McDonald's parking lot in Alamo.

Pasadena resident Jose Alberto Jimenez Jr., 26, was arrested Thursday afternoon for his involvement in the shooting that took place Tuesday night at the 1018 W. Frontage Rd. .

Jimenez's vehicle is one of two vehicles that left the scene after the shooting happened, according to the Alamo Police Department.

A police tip led investigators to conduct surveillance in the 6200 block of Vaughn Rd., discovering a blue Ford Fusion and a man matching the description of the suspect wanted.

The man, later identified as Jimenez, was taken into custody without incident.

According to police, Jimenez has been charged with murder. His arraignment date is scheduled for Friday, August 23.

Two other suspects, Christina Louise Montemayor, 44, and Albert Angel Medina, 23, face murder charges without bond.

Police identified Medina as the gunman and Montemayor as the driver of the first suspect vehicle.

At the crime scene, the unidentified man was found with three gunshot wounds to his torso area.

He has yet to be identified.

The motive of the shooting is suspected to be gang and narcotic-related, police add.
