A member of the Texas Chicano Brotherhood gang was arrested following an aggravated robbery at an eight-liner in Roma where he brandished an airsoft gun, according to a criminal complaint.

Ricardo Rodriguez Jr. was charged with interference with commerce by threats or violence after he allegedly robbed Total Entertainment.

At approximately 10:57 p.m. on Wednesday, Rodriguez entered Total Entertainment, brandished a pistol and demanded money from two employees who were present, according to the complaint.

“Rodriguez moved toward an employee and grabbed her hair before [pointing] the pistol at her head,” the complaint said. “Rodriguez then went to a second employee and struck her on the head with the pistol.”

The second employee fell to the floor after being struck and hit her head on a gaming machine which caused an injury.

Rodriguez then kicked her and demanded, “Give me the money!”

According to the complaint, Rodriguez took money from the employee and a money bag.

However, as the robbery was happening, a customer was on the phone with a family member who heard the robbery in progress and contacted the Roma police.

Officers responded and arrested Rodriguez for aggravated robbery.

“Due to the robbery, Total Entertainment had to cease operations for the day which obstructed and delayed the business’ ability to operate in commerce,” the complaint said.

Rodriguez’s pistol was later identified to be an airsoft replica of a Beretta firearm after it was found in his right rear pocket. On his person was also about $901 in U.S. currency.

At the time of his arrest, Rodriguez was wearing a surgical and black mask to conceal his face.

Rodriguez was transported to the Roma Police Department following his arrest.
