MCALLEN, Texas – Texas A&M University Higher Education Center at McAllen is hosting another of its open house events.

The university is inviting the community, including high school and transfer students, to attend its fall Open House on Saturday, Oct. 5, 2024, from 9 a.m. to noon.

Manny Vela, associate vice president and chief operating officer of Texas A&M University Higher Education Center at McAllen, said the event will provide attendees the opportunity to:

  • Explore undergraduate degree programs
  • Tour the state-of-the-art facility
  • Meet world-class faculty members
  • Discover student services
  • Network with academic advisors
  • Learn admissions information from the Rio Grande Valley Prospective Student Center

“Our center offers local students a very unique Aggie experience; students have the opportunity to enroll at Texas A&M, live with or near family and follow the same Core Values and traditions and ultimately graduate with the same Aggie Ring as students in College Station,” Vela said.

“The Open House serves as a fantastic opportunity to learn about our programs, connect with the campus community and see what Aggieland is like in South Texas.”

Editor’s Note: Guests are encouraged to register at tx.ag/HECMOH. The Open House will take place at the Texas A&M University Higher Education Center at McAllen at 6200 Tres Lagos Blvd., McAllen, TX 78504.
