Stomach Cancer Awareness program airs Nov. 24

HARLINGEN, Texas (ValleyCentral) — South Texas Health Systems and STHS Clinics are set to air a TV show on November 24, focusing on stomach cancer awareness.

The show will highlight the importance of early detection due to stomach cancer's late-stage diagnosis often leading to fewer treatment options.

An oncologist and a registered dietitian will discuss the disease, emphasizing diet's significant role in overall health, with proteins comprising only a quarter of the plate, while the rest should be green vegetables.
