SpaceX calls off second Starship Super Heavy booster catch at Boca Chica Beach

SpaceX on Tuesday successfully launched its Starship Super Heavy into orbit from Starbase at Boca Chica Beach as President-elect Donald Trump attended the company’s sixth launch from the area.

However, SpaceX called off the second booster catch after it separated from Starship Super Heavy.

Just under seven minutes into the flight, the booster landed in the Gulf of Mexico.

SpaceX successfully caught the booster during the fifth flight on Oct. 13.

Meanwhile, the Starship continued its flight.
