Sea Turtle Inc. hosts Texas Recycles Day weekend event

SOUTH PADRE ISLAND, Texas (ValleyCentral) — Sea Turtle Inc. is inviting the community to celebrate a weekend of awareness in honor of Texas Recycles Day.

The non-profit is taking part in the statewide annual event to raise awareness about the importance of recycling and its contributions to the environment.

The weekend event, sponsored by H-E-B, will allow the community to gain free entry to the Sea Turtle Inc. facility and help the Lone Star State for future generations.

"We continue to execute our shared commitment to keeping our oceans clean and safe for marine life," said Wendy Knight, Chief Executive Officer of Sea Turtle Inc.

The event will continue Saturday, Nov. 16 and Sunday, Nov. 17.

Free admission into the Sea Turtle Inc. facility will be offered to all visitors who bring a plastic
bottle or a single-use plastic bag from any retailer.

"Together, Sea Turtle Inc. and H-E-B remain dedicated to education, conservation, and
community engagement.," Knight continued.

Sea Turtle Inc. is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and is located on 6617 Padre Blvd. in South Padre Island.
