San Benito PD: 2 men arrested for stealing holiday inflatable

SAN BENITO, Texas (ValleyCentral) — San Benito police arrested two men who stole a holiday decorative inflatable from a home, according to the department's news release.

At approximately 4 a.m. on Tuesday, an officer was flagged down by a resident who saw a man stealing an inflatable from outside the home.

A description of the man and vehicle was provided, and officers were able to locate them a short while later, said police.

The passenger was identified as Ramiro Robles, 32, and the driver Mark Anthony Rodriguez, 41.

Robles' theft charge was upgraded to a state jail felony due to previous theft convictions. He was also charged with separate pending warrants for felony theft and criminal trespassing from incidents that occurred in late November.

Police added that Rodriguez was charged with both the theft of the inflatable and possessing less than two ounces of marijuana.
