San Benito hosts weekly summer movie event

SAN BENITO, Texas (ValleyCentral) — The city of San Benito invites the public for a night at the movies every Friday this month beginning June 7.

This free event begins at 6 p.m. and takes place at the Plaza de San Benito, which is part of the City's Cultural Heritage District, on the 200 block of E. Heywood Street. The Plaza houses the San Benito Cultural Heritage Museum and the recently reopened Cultural Arts Center, which will both be open to visitors during the event.

The 2006 Hollywood blockbuster starring Ben Stiller and Robin Williams, “Night at the Museum,” kicks things off.

In addition to the family-friendly movies that begin around 8:30 p.m., other activities are
planned before showtime.

Concessions will be on sale from various food vendors.
