Roma school earns 2nd recognition as National Blue Ribbon School

Roma, Texas (ValleyCentral) — The U.S. Department of Education has recognized F. J. Scott Elementary as one of its 2024 National Blue Ribbon Schools for the second time.

The National Blue Ribbon Schools is an award program that honors high-performing schools and schools that make great strides in closing achievement gaps.

The elementary was first recognized with this award in 2015.

356 U.S. schools earned this honor, with only 31 Texas schools named 2024 Blue Ribbon Schools.

Roma Independent School District School's R. & C. Saenz Elementary earned the honor in 2023 and Emma Vera Elementary School in 2019.
