RIO GRANDE CITY, Texas (ValleyCentral) — The Rio Grande City Police Department is hosting a clinic to make sure your four-legged friend is in great health.
A low-cost rabies vaccine will be available to a furry friend of a Rio Grande City resident in April.
The drive-thru event will offer the rabies vaccine at $19.
Police have listed the following requirements of a pet to qualify for the rabies vaccine:
- Dogs must be on a leash
- Cats must be in a carrier
- All animals must be supervised by an adult
- Pets must be at least 13 weeks old
- Pet owner must stay in the vehicle with pet(s) at all times
- Must be a RGC resident with proof of residency (ID or utility bill)
The clinic will take place from 8 a.m. to noon, Saturday, April 6 at the Rio Grande City Hall located on 5332 E. Hwy 83.
