RGV organizations to protest SpaceX in virtual press conference

BROWNSVILLE, Texas (ValleyCentral) — Members of Rio Grande Valley organizations will host a 1-hour virtual press conference this morning urging the Texas Parks & Wildlife Department to vote against SpaceX.

The organizations South Texas Environmental Justice Network, Voces Unidas RGV, and other individuals are urging TP&W to oppose SpaceX in swapping land near Laguna Vista in exchange for more land at Boca Chica Beach.

The commission meeting will take place on March 4.

These organizations will also present the letter they delivered to TPWD they say details the environmental injustice of the land grab for SpaceX.
