BROWNSVILLE, Texas – Mario Reyna, one of the leaders of the Hidalgo County Prosperity Task Force, will help spread the word about RioPlex at two events this week.
On the morning of Aug. 14, Reyna will speak at the monthly general managers meeting of Index Reynosa. Index is a national trade association for the maquiladora industry in Mexico.
Reyna’s presentation at the Index meeting will be titled: The RioPlex Project.
The event is being held the City of Pharr’s Development and Research Center on Dicker Road in South Pharr. The meeting starts at 7:00 a.m.
Later that same day, Reyna will speak at an evening event at IBC Bank in Brownsville. The event is titled US-Mexico Leaders: A Bi-National Networking Cocktail. It is being co-hosted by the American Chamber Mexico and IBC.
Reyna’s presentation is titled RioPlex: The Door to the Future. The event runs from 6:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
RioPlex is a regional marketing initiative designed to better brand Northern Tamaulipas and the Rio Grande Valley.
It was created earlier this summer by the CEO Group and adopted by Hidalgo County Prosperity Task Force. It has quickly won the support of the Council for South Texas Economic Progress (COSTEP), the Rio Grande Valley Partnership, the RGV Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, and Consejo Binacional de Fomento Económico de Reynosa, otherwise known as COBIFER.
