Police: No major injuries reported in crash involving 18-wheeler in Brownsville

BROWNSVILLE, Texas (ValleyCentral) — Police are investigating a major crash involving an 18-wheeler on the northbound side of the Expressway by Morrison Road, according to the Brownsville Police Department.

Police report that there are no major injuries; however, some individuals have been taken to a local hospital for evaluation, police said.

The number of people and their condition are not known.

At this time, police units are conducting traffic in the area. The on-ramp to access the expressway on Ruben M. Torres Boulevard is closed.

Police ask drivers to find alternate routes.
