EDINBURG, Texas (ValleyCentral) — Edinburg police are investigating a shooting and burglary that happened Tuesday night.
Officers responded to the 400 block of N. 12th St. around 10:30 p.m.
The initial report said four men wearing dark clothing forced their way into a residence on the 400 block of N. 12th St at around 10:30 p.m.
Police say one of the suspects discharged a weapon, striking an 18-year-old man in the leg.
The teen's injuries are considered non-life-threatening.
Police have begun a search for the individuals involved.
Investigators believe this is an isolated and targeted incident.
The investigation is ongoing and police urging anyone with information about the case to come forward.
