LUBBOCK, Texas -- Strong wind gusts were reported across the South Plains on Friday. The National Weather Service issued a High Wind Warning, Red Flag Warning and Blowing Dust Warning in Lubbock County and surrounding areas.
An 81-mph wind gust was reported at the Lubbock Preston Smith International Airport at 7:15 a.m. on Friday.
