EDINBURG, Texas (ValleyCentral) — A photo exhibit honoring those who gave the gift of sight is on display at South Texas Health System in Edinburg.
The exhibit called, “Eyes of the Valley: A Legacy in Sight” features portraits of people, who in their deaths, gave the gift of sight to others by donating their corneas.
"The exhibit is pictures of individuals from the Rio Grande Valley. We work together with the San Antonio Eye Bank and are so grateful for the incredible service that they do. They are able to facilitate the donation of corneas and be able to give the gift of sight to individuals who need it," said Lance Ames CEO, of South Texas Health System, Edinburg and South Texas Health System Children's Hospitals.
The exhibit will be on display until Nov. 30. The community is welcome to stop by to view and learn about the visual testimonies of the donors featured.
