Pharr police identify motorcyclist in fatal crash

PHARR, Texas (ValleyCentral) — Pharr police identified the motorcyclist who died in a July 4 crash.

At 4 p.m. on Thursday, authorities responded to a major motorcycle-vehicle crash at the intersection of W. Nolana Loop and S. Sugar Road, according to a release from the Pharr Police Department.

A prelimanry investigation revealed the driver of a BMW motorcycle crashed at a high speed with a grey Nissan Frontier.

The motorcyclist was identified as 50-year-old, McAllen resident Lv Dever Jr. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver, 76-year-old woman, and passenger of the Nissan Fontier were taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

This is an ongoing investigation.
