Pharr Planning and Zoning Commission to Hold Regular Meeting on January 22, 2026

The City of Pharr has announced that a regular meeting of the Planning and Zoning Commission will be held on January 22, 2026, at 4:00 PM at City Hall, Commissioners’ Room, 118 S. Cage Blvd., 2nd Floor, Pharr, Texas. The meeting will be open to the public, and all persons desiring to address the governing body must register with the presiding city clerk prior to the scheduled meeting. The commission will consider and act upon several items, including the approval of minutes from the January 8, 2026, regular called meeting, and public hearings for final plat approvals of the proposed Jacinto Cano Subdivision and the D. Pearson Subdivision. Additionally, the commission may convene in a closed, non-public executive session to discuss items listed on the public portion of the meeting agenda. The meeting will be conducted in accordance with Chapter 551 of the Texas Government Code, also known as the Open Meetings Act. The city has made arrangements to ensure that the meeting is accessible to all, with wheelchair accessibility and accessible parking spaces available. Requests for accommodations or interpretive services must be made 48 hours prior to the meeting.

Meeting Agenda

will include a call to order, public testimony, approval of minutes, public hearings, and announcements. The commission will also consider final plat approvals for the Jacinto Cano Subdivision and the D. Pearson Subdivision, which are located within the city of Pharr. Executive Session

may be convened to discuss items listed on the public portion of the meeting agenda, including legal advice on pending or contemplated litigation, settlement offers, and matters related to real property. The city and its attorney may also discuss such issues with the appropriate staff to obtain necessary and relevant information.

Reconvene and Adjournment

will follow the executive session, and the commission will consider action, if necessary, on any items discussed in closed session. The meeting will be adjourned upon completion of the agenda items. The city has posted the notice of the meeting on the bulletin board at City Hall and on the city’s web page, and it will remain posted continuously for at least three business days preceding the scheduled time of the meeting.
