Pharr PD: 18-year-old girl dies in overnight multi-vehicle crash

PHARR, Texas (ValleyCentral) — An 18-year-old girl died last night after a multi-vehicle crash in Pharr, police say.

At 9:30 p.m. Pharr police responded to a multi-vehicle crash on southbound US Highway 281, near 4800 N Cage Blvd.

One woman, 18, died as a result of the collision. Her identity is being withheld until next of kin is notified.

A preliminary investigation revealed the 18 year old collided with a stalled vehicle on the right shoulder of the highway. Police say the stalled vehicle was displaying hazard lights.

No other injuries were reported. This is an ongoing investigation and updates will be provided as they become available.
