The Rio Grande Valley has always been a place where challenges are met with positivity and determination.
This year, I was reminded of this during a visit to a local entrepreneur’s shop in Brownsville. Despite starting with limited resources, this entrepreneur used their creativity and the support of local programs to grow a thriving business. What stood out most was how their success became a ripple effect: they hired local talent, partnered with nearby suppliers, and inspired others in their neighborhood to pursue their dreams.
This story is not an outlier in our region, and I’m certain that you have personally encountered stories like this one multiple times throughout the years. This is what makes the RGV truly remarkable—our ability to uplift one another and turn possibilities into progress. It reflects the spirit that drives us all as partners in economic development.
The Rio Grande Valley thrives because of people and organizations like yours that foster growth, innovation, and opportunity for our communities. We are proud to work alongside you to create a stronger, more resilient economy where everyone has a fair chance.
This holiday season, as we celebrate with our loved ones, let us also celebrate the successes of the past year—the businesses we’ve supported, the jobs we’ve helped create, and the lives we’ve changed.
Looking ahead, we are excited to continue building on this foundation with you in the coming year and beyond. Together, we can achieve even greater things for the Rio Grande Valley.
On behalf of everyone at BCIC, I wish you a joyful holiday season filled with peace, warmth, and inspiration. May the New Year bring renewed energy, fresh opportunities, and continued success.
