PD: Teen driver turns himself in for allegedly causing 18-wheeler to crash into home

MISSION, Texas (ValleyCentral) — A teenager accused of causing an 18-wheeler to crash into a house last month has turned himself in, police say.

The driver is being charged with criminal negligent homicide, a state jail felony, officials told ValleyCentral.

The Mission Police Department said the driver conducted an unsafe lane change, which caused the trailer to crash into the house.

The driver turned himself in on Monday, following his release from the hospital.

He is scheduled to be arraigned at 11 a.m. His identity has not been made publicly available.
