PD: Man asks ride from police, arrested for sexual assault warrant

ALTON, Texas (ValleyCentral) — A man was arrested after authorities discovered he had a warrant for sexual assault.

According to the Alton Police Department, 29-year-old Maximo Diaz Monsiváis waved down police officers and asked for a ride to his sister's house.

Authorities later discovered he had a warrant out for sexual assault of a child. According to police, the victim is 13 years old and related to him.

Monsiváis was booked into the Alton City Jail.
