SAN BENITO, Texas (ValleyCentral) — The owners of Padilla Ranch are paying it forward this holiday season with a Christmas Toy Drive event.
Padilla Ranch, owned by siblings Clarissa and Christopher Padilla, are partnering with the city's police department to donate toys to children in the community.
"We're hosting a toy drive for the City of San Benito, the kids who are unfortunately not able to receive gifts from their families," said ranch co-owner Clarissa Padilla.
Clarissa and Christopher are looking forward to kick off the event with a trail ride to the San Benito Police Department to drop off the donated toys.
Once all the toys are dropped off at the police department, the event will continue at Padilla Ranch with food and live music.
The Padilla family will provide chicken plates to the first 100 toy donations.
"One thing my parents did teach us growing up was to always remain humble and kind and to give back whenever we can," Clarissa continued.
The event will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday Dec. 14 at Padilla Ranch located on 30415 Alex Trevino Rd. in San Benito.
