New entrance ramp to open as part of I-2/I-69C Project

McALLEN, Texas (ValleyCentral) — An entrance ramp will be opened as part of the I-2/I-69C project.

According to a news release from the Texas Department of Transportation, the new entrance ramp will access the I-2 westbound main lanes and will open overnight on Monday.

The new entrance ramp will be located between Jackson Road and Jackson Avenue. Once the new ramp has been opened, the westbound entrance ramp, located between Jackson Road and McColl Road, will be permanently closed, TxDOT states.

Drivers are asked to stay alert, slow down in work zone areas, and be aware of lane closures and alternate routes.
