McALLEN, Texas (ValleyCentral) — The City of McAllen is welcoming the "Driscoll Electric Parade" to this year's South Pole Illuminated Festival.

Attendees can expect to see vibrant drumlines, dancers and a series of glowing floats.

The centerpiece of the parade will be the whimsical ‘Trompitos' illuminated spinning floats.

The parade will be held every Friday through Sunday night during the festival.

The Driscoll Electric Parade will also stop at Driscoll Children's Hospital to bring festive cheer to the young patients and their families.

"There will be a night where our children who are patients in our hospital will get to experience this and see the full parade and enjoy some of that Christmas spirit that McAllen is widely known for," said Matt Wolthoff, President of Driscoll Children's Hospital RGV.

The South Pole Illuminated Festival will run from Nov. 29 to Dec. 29.

Tickets and event information are available now on the festival's website.
