ROMA, Texas (ValleyCentral) — United States Customs and Border Protection officers seized more than $20 million worth of alleged methamphetamine.
According to a news release from CBP, on March 5, officers stationed at the Roma International Bridge encountered a tractor trailer hauling a shipment of bottled mineral water.

The trailer was selected for inspection. During the inspection, CBP officers found 1,632 bottles containing 2,268.51 pounds of alleged liquid methamphetamine.
The narcotics had a total street value of $20,279,137.
CBP seized the methamphetamine and tractor trailer. Homeland Security Investigations special agents have begun a criminal investigation.
