MISSION, Texas (ValleyCentral) — A Mission man was sentenced to 15 years in prison for sexually assaulting a 7-year-old girl, prosecutors announced.
Nelson Zamora, 54, pleaded guilty Monday to one count of aggravated assault of a child, according to Hidalgo County District Attorney Toribio “Terry” Palacios.

According to the Hidalgo County Judge's Office, the sexual abuse occurred when Zamora was alone with the child at a Mission residence.
No details were provided on if Zamora had any relation to the child.
