McALLEN, Texas (ValleyCentral) — Love is in the air at the McAllen Municipal Court this Valentine's Day.
The municipal court is offering to host free wedding ceremonies for the first 10 couples looking to tie the knot on the most loving day of the year.
From 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Valentine's Day, couples can exchange their vows at the McAllen Public Safety Building, located at 1601 N Bicentennial Boulevard.
“We are excited to offer this heartfelt opportunity to couples in our community,” said Presiding Judge Lauren Sepulveda. “Valentine’s Day celebrates romance, love, and commitment, and we are honored to be a small part of so many couples’ special moments.”
The court reminds couples who are interested in attending this event that they must obtain a valid marriage license at least 72 hours before the ceremony and present a valid form of identification.
Guests and loved ones are welcomed at the ceremony.
Appointments are on a first-come, first-serve basis. To schedule a wedding ceremony contact Adiana Flores, MMC Wedding Coordinator, at (956) 681-2911 or aflores@mcallen.net.
