BROWNSVILLE, Texas – The City of Brownsville has partnered with Freese and Nichols, Inc., to officially launch the Brownsville Downtown Renaissance Master Plan.
Brownsville is regarded as the second most historic city in Texas and city leaders want to capitalize on that by securing more cultural tourism. The leaders say the master plan marks the beginning of a transformational initiative aimed at revitalizing the Brownsville’s historic core.
Brownsville residents will play a big part in how the master plan develops, says Brownsville Mayor John Cowen, Jr. He noted that new development is already happening.
