March 13 is K9 Veterans Day

HARLINGEN, Texas (ValleyCentral) — March 13 is K9 Veterans Day to recognize the tireless efforts of active-duty service dogs. It is a day to salute our four-legged heroes, reflect on their valor, and remember those who have passed.

Nick Caceres is a U.S. Marine Corps veteran who is in favor of a bill that would allow military working K9s to be buried at veterans' cemeteries.

He wants to educate the public and get their support with local representatives to support the bill as well so these working dogs, who work to protect our country, can be properly buried with their veteran handlers.
