PHARR, Texas (ValleyCentral) — Authorities have identified the man killed in Friday's auto-pedestrian accident.
The victim was identified as 54-year-old, Pharr resident, Oscar Castillo.
On Friday, authorities responded to an auto-pedestrian crash early Friday afternoon at the 1600 block of West Interstate 2.
According to a news release from the Pharr Police Department, Castillo was attempting to cross the interstate before the collision. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police say one vehicle was involved in the collision and the driver stayed at the scene.
