BROWNSVILLE, Texas (ValleyCentral) — A man has been charged in connection to a July 4 double homicide.
Martin Medrano-Davila was arrested by Brownsville police on two counts of murder Monday. An indictment accuses Medrano-Davila of fatally shooting Ricardo Lopez and Laura Alaniz on July 4, 2020.
On Monday, the Brownsville Police Department SWAT team, with assistance from U.S. Marshals, took Medrano-Davila into custody at the 6600 block of Santa Anita Drive, a news release stated.
Medrano-Davila was arraigned Wednesday and remains jailed without bond.
