LA FERIA, Texas (ValleyCentral) — A man was taken into custody following a sexual assault investigation in Cameron County.
Samuel Ryan Rivera, 21, was charged with four counts of sexual assault of a child, according to a news release from the Cameron County Sheriff's Office.
On March 13, the sheriff's office received a report regarding the sexual assault of a child that happened at the 33000 block of FM 506.

The Cameron County Sheriff's Office initiated an investigation, which revealed multiple incidents of sexual assault of a child that took place.
As the investigation continued, arrest warrants on four charges of sexual assault of a child were issued against Rivera.
On Monday, April 7, Rivera was taken into custody at his residence by CCSO investigators without further incident.
He was booked into the Carrizalez Rucker Detention Center, where he is pending his arraignment.
